Crafted from premium McLaren Vale vineyards, the Vintage Breeze Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is a rich, structured wine that showcases the region’s ability to deliver both power and finesse. A combination of fermentation styles and French oak maturation has been used to build layers of complexity and balance, resulting in a Cabernet that is bold, smooth, and age-worthy.
The nose is lifted and expressive, with dark cherries and chocolate aromas, while the palate delivers spicy ripe plum fruit wrapped in silky tannins. The finish is long, refined, and elegant, with subtle oak integration and structure that will reward cellaring, though it’s already drinking beautifully.
Awarded 92 Points by both Ken Gargett and Ray Jordan of Wine Pilot, this is a wine that delivers outstanding value and showcases the signature richness and style of McLaren Vale Cabernet.
Enjoy the Vintage Breeze McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 with slow-cooked lamb shoulder, mushroom and lentil casserole, grilled ribeye, or aged cheddar, where its smooth texture and dark fruit depth will shine.
92 Point Rated - Ken Gargett Wine Pilot
"From McLaren Vale, the wine spent time maturing in French oak. A near opaque maroon hue, the wine is ripe, concentrated and richly flavoured. There are notes of mulberries, tobacco leaves, aniseed and blackcurrants. The wine has good intensity and length, with fine, firm tannins and a bright line of acidity. A ten year proposition."
92 Point Rated - Ray Jordan Wine Pilot
"Gosh, this is a delightful current drinking wine. It’s all about the balance and the fruit. Captures the smooth succulence of McLaren Vale with the varietal notes of blackcurrant and dark chocolate with a subtle leafy nuance evident immediately. The palate yields to a more dark plum and liqueur chocolate characters with the fine oak integration holding the line through to the finish. Structured but with flesh and suppleness."
